KEDAH LEG - 3RD DAY RESULTS

Today, all categories bowled their Knock-out Round. The Graded category bowled first in the morning as they finished earlier the day before, followed by the Open category. Before the start of the match, the bowlers were briefed as some of them were first timers to the new format.

All the quarter-final matches were exciting and tensed but in the end only 4 from each category prevailed and moved on to the semi-finals. The 4 leaders, Mohd Amirul (BA), Nor Syazana (GA), Muhd Amin (GO) and Nur Diana (GO) qualified for the semi-finals with Mohd Amirul having 7 consecutive strikes in the 2nd game of the quarter-finals.

In the semi-finals, the biggest upset was when Nor Syazana went down to 7th seeded Nur Azlin from SSBP. Nur Azlin went on into the finals and beat Hanan Fateha to capture her first Girls Graded title.

Mohd Zafiq Syaddiq from Perak emerged as Boys Graded champion after a hard-fought battle with top seed Mohd Amirul of Kedah. In the finals, he had to spare in order to secure the title and he did just that with his fellow team mates cheering him on in the crowd.

In the Open category both top seeds stamped their mark when both of them beat their opponents in the finals by a margin of 60 pins; Muhd Amin beat Teh Lit Qing, his fellow team mate while Nur Diana beat Syaidatul Afifah of Perak.
