The second leg of the SportExcel Junior Circuit that was held in Ampang Superbowl, Ipoh Parade was organized successfully with a total participation of 280 bowlers across 6 categories; Boys Open, Girls Open, Boys Graded, Girls Graded, Boys Under-12 and Girls Under-12.
On the first day, it was the Terengganu Boys Graded bowlers who stole the show when Mohd Syazwan Kamarudin and Abdul Hafiz Azran both scorched the lanes with an identical Hi-Game score of 268 in their 8th game. With this score, both of them were placed 2nd and 10th respectively after the completion of Stage 1. Mohd Syazwan continued his good performance in the quarter-finals and went into the knock-out round as top seed and never looked back from then on to claim his first title this year.
In the Girls Graded category, bubbly KL bowler Siti Nurzulaika who was leading after Stage 1 but lost momentum in the quarter finals, found her confidence in the knock-out round to beat Noor Afiqah from Pahang to emerge as Champion.
It was nearly a clean sweep in the Open Category by the Perak bowlers. Teh Lit Qing and Nur Syamimi who had the home ground advantage both stormed into the knock-out round in top billing. However, only Teh Lit Qing managed to wrap up the show with glory. Nur Syamimi succumb to her competitor, Nur Shamira from KL who bowled 179- 22 compared to her 169-213.
The Under-12 titles went to Nur Dayana Zuhadi from KL and Fakhrul Daniel from Perak.
The Prizes were presented by En. Meor Shariman, Ketua Sukan Prestasi Tinggi Perak and En. Khairul Faizi.
